Horticultural and Design Consultations

At Planting Designs, we love it when our clients tell us they enjoy being in the garden and doing the work themselves – after all this means that immediately we have something in common. We understand though that especially at first, gardeners sometimes need advice to start them in the right direction.

Our clients ask us a range of questions from how to improve our sandy Perth soils to how to improve their water efficiency in the garden. They want to know how they can save time in the garden, which plants are the right ones to plant, why particular plants keep dying and how to deal with pests and diseases. They want to know about improving their veggie patch or even just their soil.

That’s why we offer our Horticultural Consultations, so that we are able to answer all of your questions and offer great advice as to which plants to plant, where to put them, how to prepare the soil so that they establish well and cope in the hot summer months. Our years of horticultural experience and our downright passion for plants will get you excited about being in your garden no matter how much you’ve got to do.

If you have a bigger DIY project on your hands though and want to change your garden layout to make it more manageable or attractive, a Design Consultation may be better for you. At these sessions we examine your site and what you need from it as well as looking at plants and the design principles which truly make a garden stand out. Bev – our qualified landscape designer will be able to discuss your budget and expectations, drawing on our experience with local products and trades which will get you off to a great start in designing your new garden.

You might decide after this that we can help you with your design and implementation. Click here to find out more about our Garden Design and Construction services.
